The Sabatti STR Sport bolt-action rifle embodies the long years of Sabatti experience in the manufacture of highaccuracy firearms. The Sabatti STR Sport rifle stands out for the design of the stock and the barrel, as well as for the mix of technology that makes it suited to any kind of long-range sport shooting activities.
The STR Sport rifle features Sabatti own and highly appreciated Blizzard action, with a three-locking lugs bolt head for a fast, short 60-degrees throw. Both the bolt and the receiver are machined out of solid steel billet; the knob is installed on the cocking handle via a 5/16” thread and can be replaced with any similar aftermarket component. The bolt is heat
treated, chrome-lined and rectified to reach the desired level of thickness; the process returns a very low level of surface roughness, which couples with the full surface fluting of the bolt body for market-leading levels of smoothness and silence in operation. The new 17-4PH extractor offers superior resistance when used with high pressure loads.
The core of the new Sabatti STR Sport rifle is the new lightweight 7075 aluminum alloy chassis, that has been completely redesigned. The new chassis is available in two variants: with a standard sporting version forearm with MLOK slots and an Arca-Swiss rail; or with a wide, flat forearm, ideal for long range precision F-Class shooting competitions, with an Anschutz rail and various anchor points for bipods and accessories.
The buttstock of the new STR Sport rifle was likewise redesigned: a non-foldable design, the new Sabatti STR Sport rifle stock is skeletonized to reduce overall weight, while retaining a fully adjustable cheek riser and a bag-rider support placed at its bottom-back. Also available an optional stock, with the buttplate fully adjustable in length and height.
The Sabatti STR Sport bolt-action rifle features a cold hammer forged barrel with the award winning MRR Multi-Radial Rifling, providing superior accuracy, no bullet deformation, and easier cleaning. Sabatti MRR premium barrels are more resistant to overheating, last longer and are more accurate than standard Match barrels, providing excellent results even with the most common commercial ammunition loads.
The barrel is 660mm long with a 22mm muzzle diameter, in the STR Sport version; and 710mm long with a 28mm muzzle diameter, in the STR Sport FC version.
The rifle comes with a Picatinny rail, coupled directly to the action, for mounting riflescopes; the trigger set is the Sabatti 3 lever Match one; and the ammunition now feed through a detachable Accuracy International AICS compatible magazine.
