Top of barrels marked “W W Greener 68 Hay Street London, winner at all gun trials 1875 to 1884”
Shotgun is in excellent condition, bores are shiny, a fine addition to any collection.
Gun is in a fitted case with the label of E.M. Reilly & Co 315 oxford Street, London.
Gun was purchased from this dealer in the early 1900s and the custom fitted leather case has the purchaser’s initials on a brass medallion on the outside cover. Case in very good condition, missing one strap.
This shotgun was started at the factory on May 31st 1887 and finished on August 18th.
The original buyer was a Mr Cooper.
It was then acquired by E.M. Reilly & Company, then purchased by a Mr Ayers of Lachute, Québec. (of the Ayers textile dynasty). I purchased it from his estate.
